1. Will this work on my network?
Net Spy Pro is designed to function on any network running any version of Windows. If you are unsure if your network is compatible, please visit our support section to contact us. Please include specifics about your network's size and operating systems.
2. What are the system requirements for Net Spy Pro?
To successfully run Net Spy Pro, your TCP-IP network must consist of Pentium 100mhz or higher machines with 32MB of ram. Pentium II 300mhz with 64MB is recommended. Net Spy Pro will run on virtually any Windows software.
3. If Net Spy Pro is hidden, then how will I access it?
If you have chosen to run in stealth then you access the NSP control panel by using a hot key combination. In this control panel you can adjust settings or view results. You can also customize which hot key sequence will launch the control panel password box.
4. How do I install Net Spy Pro?
To deploy Net Spy Pro simply install the software on each PC in your network and reboot. After each PC has rebooted it will be available within the Net Spy Pro Network.
5. Can I access NSP from anywhere in the world?
Yes. Net Spy Pro allows you to access the user interface from any Internet connected web browser by entering a special URL, which is included with the purchase email.
6. Does Retina-X Studios provide installation and usage support?
Absolutely. When you order there will be step-by-step instructions. However, if you need further assistance we will be here to answer any questions you may have. In addition to our online documentation, we also send step-by-step instructions via email upon ordering.
7. Do you offer volume discounts or discounts to educational or government facilities?
Yes, we offer both. If you are interested in putting Net Spy Pro on more than 250 PCs, or are or are from an educational or government facility then email us with your quantity requirements for current discounts.
8. How do I view my recorded activity logs?
Inside the Net Spy Pro control panel there is an IP Scanner, which will scan your network for installed Net Spy Pro clients. After the initial scan you can access each PC's logs by going to the "Address Book", selecting a PC and then clicking "Connect".
9. How do I connect to a PC?

10. How do I remote control a PC?
To use the remote control feature built into NSP, bring up the NSP control panel on your workstation. Then click CONTROL PC. Then select which PC you want to connect to and which mode you would like. It will then connect to the remote PC.
11. Is the remote control feature fully stealth?
The remote control feature is mainly to be used as a tool for administering the PC. Its not typically used for monitoring. Once an admin connects to a client PC the client PC's screen will refresh once. Then there is no other sign that the admin is connected as long as the admin has chosen "View Only" option in the remote control window.
12. How do change my Net Spy Pro hot key combination?
To change the hot key combination inside the control panel go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Hot Key and then select your desired sequence and click "Apply".
13. How do change my Net Spy Pro password?
To change the password inside the program go to Security > Set Password. Then enter your old password and new password in both boxes and click "Apply".
14. How do I turn content filtering on?
To turn on the powerful filtering options, go to Filtering > Web Site Filtering OR Filtering > Application Filtering. Enter your desired filtering requirements using the instructions on each tab. Then click "Apply".
15. How do I uninstall Net Spy Pro?
Please use our support form to receive uninstall instructions and you must include your name, and order number. We do not advertise this information. This information is contained in the installation email that was sent after ordering.
