IPSentry Network Monitoring

IPSentry Network Monitoring Software is a centralized Windows NT / 2000 / XP / 2003 based network monitoring software package used by thousands of Information System specialists, system administrators, and IT solution providers around the world for 10 years and counting.
When you buy IPSentry Network Monitor software, you are purchasing a powerful network administration tool which will continuously monitor your internet and intranet servers, routers, modems, databases, services, event logs, performance data and more, 24 hours per day; insuring that your network and devices are functioning properly. If a problem is detected, various alerts and notifications can be triggered to make sure you are aware of the problem as soon as possible.
With IPSentry, you can choose from various alert and notification options, such as pager, cell phone, email, audible alerts, external power control for lights and sirens, system reboots, service restarts, and more.
Whether you are monitoring one server or five hundred, performing simple ping tests or complex network tests based on database query thresholds, SNMP value delta changes and performance counter values, IPSentry is designed to provide a simple interface with the power and complexities sitting behind the scenes allowing you to concentrate on what you do best - keep your networks up and running because the alternative is unacceptable.
IPSentry provides you with an extensive set of tools to be added to your administrative tool chest for monitoring many aspects of your network.
As with many tools, each one may appear to have a single function but in reality, many tools can be used for many purposes in performing a similar base task. For example, a hammer can be used to accomplish far more tasks that just pounding nails, especially when used in conjunction with another tool.
Similarly, when the various IPSentry monitoring tools are configured and used on conjunction with other monitoring tools, the possibilities will continue to grow.

The primary reporting functions for IPSentry revolve around network status, current state, and historical value charting.
IPSentry Monitoring Status - Output HTML - The IPSentry Auto-Output status reports can be configured to be generated after every cycle providing current monitored state summary and detail information accessible by web browser.
This report is generated during IPSentry idle time insuring that monitoring and notification tasks are not interrupted, altered or otherwise disturbed due to report building overhead or resource utilization.
Once again, simplicity comes through with the Monitoring Status report. The information contained in this report provides you with a quick at-a-glance identification of problem devices, suspended devices, and normal entry states.
IPSentry Graphing and Charting - The IPSentry Graphing Tool provides you with the ability to obtain historical charts and graphs regarding many aspects and values associated to your configured monitoring tasks.
Whether you want to see ping time trends for the last 7 days at 5 minute intervals or over the last 24 hours at 1 minute interval, the IPSentry Graphing Tool provides you with the capability to configure a wide array of define reports.
Similar to the IPSentry Auto-Output statistics report, the graphing and charting data can also be output to a shared location for access via web browser over the internet.
Each of the various monitoring types and add-in components store specific data associated to the monitored items.
For example, a basic PING monitor will store the response time reported whereas a drive space monitoring entry would store the free space found. Similarly, when monitoring SNMP values, each value defined can be stored, charted and graphed.
IPSentry Dash Remote Client - While not a reporting mechanism in the strictest sense, the IPSentry Dash Client provides a real-time display of the current state of entries configured in one or more IPSentry hosts.
With the IPSentry Dash Client, you can have IPSentry deployed in many locations and view the state of all devices at one central location - real-time.
IPSentry Dash Client provides basic Suspend, Resume, and Notation functionality allowing you to suspend monitoring of a device while you correct an issue and add notations to the entry for future reference. For security reasons, full access to configuration data within IPSentry must be performed through the IPSentry application UI either at the IPSentry system or via TS, RDP, or other remote desktop access software.
The dash client also provides you with the option to automatically display an alert and play a sound locally when a state change is detected on the remote systems.
